THE KEYS TO DEVELOPING YOUR PRACTICAL LEGAL SKILLS ARE COACHING, PRACTICE AND FEEDBACK.
Our groundbreaking Fundamental Lawyering Skills and Trial Advocacy programs give
you a chance to practice new skills while interacting with
professional actors who will help you polish your presentation techniques.
Through these programs, you will learn about legal theory and its application in core
practice areas while developing advanced skills in interviewing,
counseling, negotiation, and trial advocacy.
Through authentic simulated client interviews, counseling sessions, and negotiations you can experience the unpredictable and complex world of legal practice in a controlled, recorded environment while receiving guidance and feedback from your "clients," your classmates, and faculty.
Working with faculty, peers, and professional actors, you can engage in all phases of trial practice with an emphasis on methods of developing facts, including direct examination, cross examination, exhibit introduction, impeachment, opening and closing statements.
